Hi! I’m Ailish—Go-To’s Brand Marketing Executive and eternal glow-seeking girlie. I’ve been trialling Very Glowy Primer for the last few months (lucky) and have been thoroughly enjoying the radiance it’s given my skin, especially during those Sydney weeks where it rained on a loop.
Recently, my makeup has received more compliments than usual (which I attribute to the Very Glowy Primer shining through) so, I wanted to put it to the ultimate test: the NAPLAN. Kidding! I’m going to see how well my makeup lasts from 8AM-8PM (12 full hours!).
On the big day, my skin prep before Very Glowy Primer included:

8AM: To really see Very Glowy Primer work its magic, I went for a FULL face, much more than I would usually do for work. I applied foundation, concealer, blush, brows, mascara, and even dabbed some extra Very Glowy Primer on my cheekbones as highlighter.
First impressions of the look? She’s glowy. She’s bright. And my makeup is looking smooth, sleek, radiant. No patchiness, no dullness.
9:15AM: Check In One
Made myself a ‘lil coffee (we have a new coffee machine in the office and it’s delightful), and did my first office lighting check. It’s still early but I walk into work, so it passed the first test: commuting.
12:30PM: Check In Two
Lunchtime! Usually by now I would’ve noticed that the pigment of my blush has completely disappeared, but it was still going strong—like I’d only just applied it.
3:15PM: Check In Three
Time for a cuppa tea and a glowy check-in. Super pleased with how my makeup is holding, I’d often notice it coming off around my nose or dryness under my eyes (especially in winter), but there’s still no patchiness, and the concealer under my eyes hasn’t gone dry or cake-y. My tea was lovely too. Had a Tim Tam with it.
5:30PM: Home time!
Again, I’m amazed by how well my blush has held up throughout the day. I feel like it’s usually the first thing to disappear, but the colour is still definitely there!
I was going out to dinner and would usually reapply some makeup to freshen up but didn’t really feel like I needed to apply any complexion products and just added a winged eyeliner, and while I was adding that I realised that the makeup on my eyelids hadn’t creased! I’m the type of person who ends up crease-fixin’ all day long—but none today!
8PM: Final Thoughts
We went to Vin-Cenzo’s. It was delicious. My makeup still looked great. Thanks for asking.
The verdict? Very Glowy Primer passed with flying/soaring/glowing colours. My makeup held up so well, the glow peeked through all day.
