Lab Chats: Inside The Go-To Lab With Dr Michelle Wong

Lab Chats: Inside The Go-To Lab With Dr Michelle Wong

Just because we’re wrapped in peach doesn’t mean we aren’t serious about nourishing your skin. We are. Which is why we have our very own lab.

We see the lab every day. We know how special it is. Which is why we’ve started inviting some Big Beauty Names in to have a poke around, and chat with our stellar formulation chemists, Mercedes and Ingrid

Recently, Dr Michelle Wong, Author of The Science of Beauty, and friendly face behind @labmuffinbeautyscience dropped by the lab to quiz our formulators on all things Very Amazing Retinal. With over 20 years of experience as a science educator she debunks beauty myths and chats about skincare in a really approachable way. The perfect person, and opportunity, to discuss Go-To’s most distinguished formula yet.

Like Dr Michelle Wong, we too long debunking beauty myths. It’s our schtick. I mean, the whole reason Go-To came to be, was to prove looking after your skin doesn’t have to be long and complex and boring. It can be simple and effective and fun. (You’re going to look after your face every day, might as well enjoy it.)

But! Just because we’re wrapped in peach doesn’t mean we aren’t serious about nourishing your skin. We are. Which is why we have our very own lab.

There are so many benefits to doing all the mixing, blending, measuring in-house. It means Go-To is in control of quality and composition. Always. There’s more room for collaboration. Between our formulators and our very fussy (rightfully so) founder, Zoë Foster Blake. Having a lab at our fingertips (more on that here) also minimises potential product waste. And time is on our side. We can tinker away for as long as we like, producing high quality products, instead of pumping them out willy nilly.

For more science! Skincare! Dating don’ts! (Nope.) Iconic formulations! Keep an eye out for Go-To Lab Chats. It’s where we nerd out about the very innovative work we’re doing behind the scenes.
