Before our new primers officially hit the scene, a handful of very lucky squids got the chance to roadtest these new not-quite-skincare, not-quite-makeup products early. We handed Very Mattifying Primer over to three of our customers to see how it stacked up in the real world.
Spoiler: Things got matte.
Here’s exactly what they thought.

Very Mattifying Primer felt SO SMOOTH when I was first applying it. It went onto my skin SO nicely, and even though I also had SPF and Face Hero on, it didn't make it feel oily or slick. it still felt light, but moisturised.
It made my makeup SIT better, and also made it last longer. I have previously had it flaking off around my nose and mouth (where my skin moves the most) and now suddenly I have basically a full face still on when I get home from work!

This was the best primer I have used. I took [it] on an impromptu Asian summer holiday for two weeks and wore it everyday, sometimes on its own. On the days that I wore makeup, it held up perfectly throughout the day through 90% humidity and an end of day run at the gym. There was no smudging or melting of my foundation!
My skin was noticeably less oily throughout the day and shine control was top notch. I have never experienced this with any other skincare or make up and have often needed to use oil blotting paper in the afternoon.

To help me compare, I used my existing primer on one half of my face and GoTo on the other half. Without explaining why or what I was testing, I asked friends and colleagues if they noticed a difference. Every time, the feedback was that the GoTo side was smoother, pores were less visible and my skin was more plump.
