To be fair, we’ve always made fragrances. They were just covered in skincare.
But now we’re taking scent seriously, launching three unique fragrances just in time for the natural summery uptick in socialising.
You led this one, by the way. For well over a decade you've been asking us to take our knack for scents and spin it into something beyond your AM/PM skin routine, and now we have.
Just like Go-To skincare, our fragrance has been created to make things easy, to remove the confusion and complication around what is, historically, a pretty intimidating and sophisticated category. It should be fun! It should be wonderfully fun to choose a scent. (It sure was fun making a scent.)
Okay, flip me a wrist—I got some perfume I wanna rub on there.
First, let me tell you about Into The Woods. This is my favorite of the three, the one I wear every day and constantly jam into people’s faces to sniff. It was the sample I kept in my handbag for months as we tested, the one I showed my coolest, most fashion-y, in-the-know, well-travelled friends at dinners to get their feedback. They love it. They are glorious, tasteful snobs, they wear impossible to pronounce perfumes from the backstreets of Paris and Tokyo, and they unequivocally loved this scent. It’s a warm, amber-y, sophisticated oud, completely gender-neutral and the perfect accessory for any outfit, any time of the day. It’s all worn-in-leather, whisky, musk and allure. I hope you love it.
Then there is Into The Garden, inspired by my personal love of heady white florals, you know, the sun-warmed jasmine you smell as you walk along a Sydney street in summer, the posy you place on your bedside table to smell as you sleep. It’s those bold, beautiful, feminine flowers that smell like a holiday when you’re freshly showered and wearing your favourite dress. It’s tuberose and vanilla and gardenia, it’s attention-grabbing and sexy, (and the office favourite.) Anchored with sandalwood, this scent is a grown-up floral with flair.
Finally, one for the foodies: Into the Bakery. This is our creamy, caramel, dessert-y one, (the experts call a gourmand). It smells enticing, inviting, smooth, warm, and milky. A coconut-vanilla and caramel dream. As though Tom Ford suddenly began making cupcakes, this scent warms up on your skin, the delicious, sweet aroma closes in around you… it’s basically a sweet treat you can wear. I wear this when I want to add some glamour, especially at night time.
The rollerballs.
All three scents are housed in elegant (handbag-approved) rollerballs: This is your go-to fragrance, to go. We used a kind-to-skin, alcohol-free formula for a prolonged weartime (without the nose-searing alcohol cloud). Each glides on effortlessly, absorbs quickly, and evolves gloriously throughout the day. I recommend applying on all your ‘bendy’ bits (wrists, neck, behind knees, elbows) for extra scent power..
Layer them. Wear on their own. Reapply before dates, dinners, dancing. Forget which handbag you stashed it in. Re-find in a month’s time. Begin this process all over again.
